Introduction to Structural Integration: March 31-April 23, 2010
This course introduces students to the system of deep tissue bodywork and movement education developed by Dr. Ida P. Rolf. Students learn to apply slow-moving pressure with their knuckles, thumbs, fingers, and elbows to the muscles, tissue around the muscles, and other soft tissues to realign the body in the gravitational field. SI aims to affect the whole person, emotionally, physically and energetically, by way of altering the alignment of the physical body and by increasing awareness of movement patterns.
